It is bordered by Alabama, and Georgia. It also sits in between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, which causes disastrous hurricanes and floods during the summer. The summer months are usually hot with mild winters. Florida is the fourth most populated state in the United states with Miami as its largest metro area. Tallahassee is the capital of Florida.

Florida is very famous for Walt Disney World, not to be confused with Disneyland in California. Tourists and residents alike can receive free admission on their birthday. Sea World is another popular attraction in Florida, along with Busch Gardens, and Universal Studios .  It is also home to the famous University of Florida, which is well known for its football team, the Gators. The university is located in Gainesville and sits on 2,000 acres. It is also ranked "Public Ivy" among national universities.
